Google For Nigeria is an event organised by Google company and led by the CEO Sundar Pichai which took place at the Landmark Event Center , Victoria Island, Lagos.

Google announced that it has launched Street View on Google Maps in Nigeria, with Lagos being the pioneer state.
With this, you will be able to view 360-degree images of streets clearly.

Thousands of new addresses have been added to Maps to improve address search experience for users.
Detailed outlines of buildings(More than a million), both residential and commercial, have also been added to Maps of Nigeria so users can get details as close to the real deal as possible.
More than 100,000 new small and medium-scale businesses have also been added to Maps to improve your experience and the quality of Google Maps.

It was also stated at the event that "the number of Nigerians who use Maps have doubled in the past year, adding that Google’s Local Guides program now has over 100,000 people in its network".

With this development, you can virtually drive along the Carter Bridge to the National Stadium or across the Eko Bridge, down to the Marina – all on your smartphone.
At the event, CEO Sundar Pichai , the company announced how it is planning to make the internet work for everyone in Africa.

You can check out Google StreetView by clicking on the "figurine" located at the bottom of the zoom buttons on Google Maps.

Isn't this cool ?.... from my own view, I can say it's a good development  and a nice step-up here in Nigeria technologically.
